The similarities between the Smart #1 and Smart #3 are quite obvious - same headlights and tail lights design, the #3 is obviously bigger - at 4.4 meters it is 13 cm longer than its smaller sibling but it has the same width and height. A deeper look at the documents reveals an optional‑equipment roster that features a rear roof spoiler and a variety of front and rear bumper designs, which unmistakably points to a Brabus‑spec version of the Smart #3.
Smart is capitalising on Geely’s assets, with the SEA platform that underpins its models also supporting the Smart #1 and the forthcoming compact Volvo SUV. While certification marks merely the initial phase of a protracted approval journey, it unequivocally confirms that the larger Smart SUV is genuine and will soon hit the streets.
